Favorite Jeans -- Color Photo by Frank J Casella

At one time you could call these jeans 'nice threads' and now they are worn, as these are my favorite jeans. Can't seem to let them go.

You can tell by how they are worn, these jeans have been through many experiences. Just like how I’ve lived through many experiences, as a photographer, a Catholic, husband, and father, etc.

Sometimes experiences make me feel worn. Other times these experiences provide the wisdom to help others by knowing what not to do, for example.

I am sure you have a favorite pair of jeans, you like how they fit or how they look on you. They provide comfort, a sure thing to be expected. Hard to let them go.

The important thing to remember here is about attachment, and keeping this in perspective.

To appreciate the blessings of the things we posses, and only to become attached to God and family, and others we love. For this is what we truly can not do without.
