Sometimes weeds are beautiful to look at, other times can grow so much when not cut back they can choke out flowers and other landscape growing around them.
In life, weeds are the distractions and noise that keep us from doing the deep work that we are called to do.
In our spiritual lives, weeds are the things that keep us from God. When you give God the place to speak, He has a lot to say.
All of this to say, that we need weeds in our lives to help us keep our focus, and the fastest way to success is to replace bad habits with good ones.

Kathryn Jones
Excellent work, Frank! I agree with every work that you say. I am reminded of the Parable Of The Sower. (Matthew 13:3-8), where only about a quarter of the seed that is sown broadcast survives, as it falls on fertile ground. Some falls on stony ground and perishes because it has no root, some falls by the wayside and is eaten up by the fowls of the air and some is choked by thorns - a kind of weed. You are spot on about the weeds being the distractions of the world, which keep us from fulfilling our spiritual potential. If we do not keep Jesus Christ at the centre of our lives, then we are in danger of being "choked by thorns".
Frank J Casella replied:
Spot on, Kathryn, thank you.
