Cool title and thoughts for this, Frank. I find it fascinating to watch the leaves turn in the fall, each tree and even leaf in its own time - and then to watch the reverse process in the spring. We always worry that out little river birch is dead, it takes so long to leaf out - long after our maple and flowering plum are in full foliage.
