Why Everyone Should Have a Dog

About a year ago, on June 26, 2016, my family lost our King Shepherd Dog. Her name was Strudel, and she was seven years old. What took her life was a mass in her spleen that ruptured. Since then I’ve learned this is common in certain breeds.

We also have another dog, a Golden Retriever, his name is Buddy. He’ll be twelve in October of this year. Both dogs have meant a different purpose in our lives.

What both have in common, though, and every dog for that matter, is they bring love into a home, and can relieve some of the stress a family may be experiencing. If you want to learn about unconditional love, watch the behavior of a dog.

The other thing too, is when you lead them in love, they give it back so much more. Both our dog’s have been rescues, meaning they were rescued from a previous owner of a lifestyle where they were not welcomed or loved. The thing is with rescues, when you love them they know the difference.

So, if you don’t have at least one dog, you should get one. It will make your house and family complete. Words can not describe what I’m saying here, you just have to take my word for it.

I’m still having a difficult time to get another dog in place of Strudel, because she was the best dog anyone could ever want. Though I am thankful for the time we had with her, as she taught us much about relationships with the neighbors and how she cared for and about others. Pleople tell me though once we do get another dog everyting will fall into place, I don’t know.

Anyways, click here for my Dogs Art Collection and you’ll see pictures of them both, among others.
