When you give God the space to speak

If you read the Bible on a daily basis as I do, then you'll know what I mean when I say God speaks to you through his Word.

This also happens with me in daily life. You know it when the experience whacks you in the face like with a stick.

Recently I was viewing my feed on Instagram and came across this sentence by Sarah Kroger, as only a Worship leader and Songwriter can say it:

"When you give God the space to speak, He has a lot to say."

How true is this with photography ... and the art on our walls.

This caused me to recall another sentence by Artist Lina Woods, that I think pulls this all together:

"Faith-based art and design does not have to be old world style or traditional. If your faith is part of your life, it can be incorporated into your contemporary lifestyle."

This is so much about, and falls right in line with, the Goodness and Hope pictures that I create and why I do this.

Yes, I know several Sacred Artists who create ICONS about the Faith. They all have their place, and do very well. Art today, as with our lives, I believe also serves a purpose to be a blend of our culture and our Faith.

This not only allows the art we collect to speak about what moves us and is important to us, but it allows God to speak to the viewer about their own faith.

Enjoy your day!
