Voice of Reason

A Person who has a voice of reason is one who influences others to act sensibly. Reason is the power of the mind to think, understand, and form judgments by a process of logic.

I've come to believe, as a photographer, people need images that are examples of reason and logic. This is why, for example, the late Norman Rockwell had such a wonderful career.

Rockwell has said "My fundamental purpose is to interpret the typical American. I am a story teller". Many people resonated with his illustrations, including his series on The Four Freedoms. His pictures served as a voice of reason for many.

Rockwell was influenced by many artists and most notably Rembrant. Pictures of human behavior has been illustrated over the years, and more so now with the digital camera, smartphone, and Instagram trend have exhibited reality like never before.

Since I was a kid I've always studied people and body language, in college I studied Rockwell and Renoir, and Edward Steichen, and since 1988 my business has specialized in producing and selling this kind of visual storytelling pictures.

My subjects and goal is to bring goodness and hope, and my pictures include people, sunlight and shadows, personality portraits, whimsically expressive subjects, dog behavior, faith and prayer, all to be a voice of reason to the masses.

Through the language of art I'm trying to express my passion for transforming our good intentions in life by explaining human behavior and right-action.

I invite you to take some time the next few days to study my pictures and seek the life story each one speaks about to you.

Enjoy your day!
