Tree Tunnel

When I first clicked the shutter on this photograph I though it was something interesting, and a grab shot for reference. Then I happened upon it in my upload album and decided to play with processing it. It all started to evolve from there.

Has this ever happened to you, say even with a home project?

Often times, I wait some time after making a photograph to see if my vision is the same as when I made it. But this picture, I wasn't even thinking about.

What grabbed by eye, to be honest, is the shadow play with the cracks in the pavement in the foreground. After I processed it what became interesting is the juxtaposition of the patterns from the branches at the top of the frame.

In relating this to life, and faith, as I do. I think when we believe is something and take action, or do something that at first doesn't seem like its worth it, the experience can always teach us something ... when we look for it.

Reminds me of a quote by Zig Ziglar, something like, we don't get motivated to start, instead we start and get motivated.

This artwork gets me motivated to do more like this. You think?
