Social Media Mumbo Jumbo

One of the benefits of subscribing to this email list is that, unlike Social Media platforms, you have the peace to know that you wont miss anything I share with you.*

This is the main reason I opted out of Facebook and G+ for email communications. And I am always grateful to see how every week more people subscribe here.

This tells me that I have something to say that is important to you. I don't get caught up with 'Likes" and 'Faves" and "Retweets" ... I even encourage subscribers to unsubscribe ... so that I concentrate on the message to meet your wants and goals.

I bring all of this up because I've taken a Twitter break for the month of September. So far it seems it's gaining more followers who stay by my doing nothing, than when I'm active. If any of you can explain this to me, please do.

The other thing happening is on Tumblr. For a while I've just been 'working the plan'. Now all of a sudden a couple prominent rebloggers have followed me, Liked and reblogged my stuff, and now I have all this activity.

Activity is the proper word because, with Social Media especially, we should not substitute activity with accomplishment. It's when people take action beyond the follow, like, or whatever else that makes a true difference in our lives.

This is why when you opt into my list here with your email address, it says to me that you are taking action (outside the mumbo jumbo) to learn, to grow, to meet your wants and needs and to be inspired.

You've heard ( or rather read ) me say that you are only blessed when you truly share your blessings, because that is why God gave it to you. Thank you for the gift to chat with you through your inbox each day.
