Smartphone Camera Project

Did you know, more pictures have been made from a mobile device than all the pictures in the history of photography?

Professional features on the phone that I use, the ZTE Maven 2, such as (for you camera enthusiasts) ISO and exposure, and white balance, help to control the image like professional DSLR cameras. Though the sensor is only five megapixels, it is a very robust sensor with automatic features that make very sharp images.

When it comes to camera phones, I think its less about the megapixels and more about the technology in the sensor. …. and the vision of the person using the camera. Very little post processing is needed because of the latest technology, and more and more capable filters are becoming available to craft an image as if it were processed in Photoshop or the like.

Though quality of prints from a mobile camera start with the sensor, mostly it comes from the printing process being used.
