Quality Over Quantity

Almost two years ago I decided to leave Facebook for E-mail Marketing. Back then I was on just about every social media platform available.

Now my main Social Media platforms are Linkedin, Flickr, Instagram, and Tumblr.

I can tell you now that I'm a true believer how Email marketing is, by a wide margin, one of the most effective and profitable marketing channels for businesses.

Back then, a study by management consultancy McKinsey & Company suggests, "E-mail remains a significantly more effective way to acquire customers than social media--nearly 40 times that of Facebook and Twitter combined."

When I started with E-mail marketing it was a once a month email. Since then, as you know, I've treated it like Facebook with a post a day. Over this past summer I did a test of sorts with my send activity and my stats are very revealing.

For this reason, the closer we get towards Christmas the less I'm going to send you an email on a daily basis. The test over the summer - Always on Thursday, never on Sunday - revealed the Thursday emails to have an astounding response, while the two or three other emails during the week kept my artwork and Brand top of mind with you.

Yes, these E-mails are about inspiration, goodness and hope in life, yet the main function is for me to be in business. To share my photography with the world, and your purchases are an endorsement that what I do is meeting your wants and needs in life.

So I just wanted to keep you in the loop of things in case you're missing my daily email. With the saturation of information you'll see in the Holiday season I will be sending less E-mails.
