Parade. Candy.

A little girl collects candy tossed onto the street during the Fourth of July parade in the Mid-West, the American way of life.

This photograph is a part of the Frank J Casella Shop - Smart Phone Project. Because this is a documentary image about celebrating through the eyes of a child the independence of America.

I could not help but click the shutter on this memory maker and simple moment in time, with all the story telling elements in place, especially with the innovation that rail and roads have made on the progress of America.

As the different parade groups, organizations, and businesses passed by, it was really evident more so this year how the hard work we all to is what makes up community -- and America.

When we work together and see things like a child, how much we can all accomplish to make this country great in the years to come.

Keep life simple and fun, like a parade with candy, with goodness and hope for America.

And put a picture like this on your wall as a reminder.

Enjoy your day!
