New Year. New Strategy.

Some of you know that I'm not active on Facebook, so you might think of this effort as my anti Facebook. You're right. Email is the original Social Media.

Personally, in place of Facebook I send a private group email to my close friends and family. They reply back in the same way.

Email as proven to be the best platform to share my uplifting photography and thoughts also. Many of you who've subscribed have shared my emails with others, and thus I've seen an incredible response in new subscribers. You have also replied to these mails and we've created dialog with each other. I am very thankful and grateful to you for this!! I appreciate you and learn so much from many of you.

So now it's time for me to back off from Twitter. Two reasons: 1) I've never had the interest to master it. 2) It's not the best platform for photography and photographers.

Where you will find me and my photos is Flickr, LinkedIn, Tumblr, and Instagram. More on this in a moment.

Some of you reading this subscribe to my daily email, others of you subscribe to my Thursday only email. Over the holiday season, as you may know, I reduced the dailys to a three - five times a week schedule. Looking at the activity stats, I"ve decided to keep it this way and not go back to the daily emails.

If you want (to change to) the Thursday only emails, reply to this email and let me know to move your address to that list.

And if you're on the only Thursday list and want more, do the same ... reply and let me know.

As always, you can unsubscribe from all future emails at any time by clicking on the unsubscribe link that is included at the bottom of each e-mail that you'll receive.

In-between the mails I'll be posting an picture and a thought on Flickr at least every other day. You'll also see that shared to LinkedIn if you'd rather follow it there. Which, by the way, has become a very powerful platform with it's own search and more like Google.

For extra measure, two other platforms that concentrate on photography and photographers is Instagram, and Tumblr (which has a Social Media aspect to it like Twitter).

So this is my new strategy for the new year that I thought I'd share with you. The whole purpose of it is to bring the world inspiration in life and, new email subscribers, then to develop relationships and trust that I might have the privilege for you to see my artwork on your walls ... and sending cards with my emotional photography to others you care for and love.
