Do you have a favorite work of Art and or Artist that you admire?

Back in my college days I did a study on Norman Rockwell. I learned that he admired Rembrant.

So, I too studied the artwork of Rembrant and clearly saw then a similar theme with light and shadow in the Rockwell work. In addition to Rockwell, and admire the work of Edward Steichen.

Steichen authored a book titled 'The Family of Man' where he documented humanity from birth to death. He has a famous quote:

"Photography is a major force in explaining man to man".

When it comes to artwork, my favorite are pictures that tell a story with strong graphic elements and composition .. images that document a moment in time.
