Chicago City Fog by Frank J Casella

Fog covers city skyscrapers on Michigan Avenue during the morning commute in Chicago Illinois. I made this picture on a Saturday morning on the way to a workshop.

I love the drama of this scene, with the silhouettes of the people going to their destinations. How you can feel the windy city vibe from the blowing flags, and the fog rolling in from over the street in the distance.

I think this image works best in square format to juxtapose the shapes of all those windows on the Wrigley Building across the street, and the lines from all the buildings and archetecture. I also happen to love strong, grid composition inside the square.

This photograph was made with the iPod Touch camera, and post-processed with Aviary Photo Editor for iOS.
