Backyard Morning Fog - Black and White

There was much fog on this morning, which made the silence for this one Sunday a special one. Until the low flying airplanes came by. I don’t think I even heard any birds, but if I did the planes washed them out.

This got me to thinking how sometimes in life we can be in a fog, until something we least expect gives us a jolt. If we pay attention, and listen to it, we can come out of that fog that sometimes we don’t even know we have.

This picture is a classic local nature scene from my home town of Homewood, Illinois - USA. Sometimes when you remove the colors, the details of beauty present themselves more clearly ... even with the fog.

It is something how fog will come in and change how we see things, and then leave and we notice things again that we didn’t see when the fog was here. This is what is so special about the silence of fog.
